Managing your downloaded brushes and other resources.

Here are some tips on how to manage your vast collection of graphics, Photoshop/paintshop brushes, textures, etc. Now you want to make sure that you log the sites you been to.
for example:
you've gotten content from:
silentatmosphere.com
Atomic Affliction
ego-box.com
etc for PSDs, graphics, brushes, glitter fills and patterns. Now you want to make sure that you got their domain name and .com/.net so that when you make a new folder you put their domain name as the title of that folder. PLEASE MAKES SURE THERE ARE NO SLASHES /. If the link back looks like "silentatmosphere.com/heartshapebox" just put an underscore which looks like this _ (dash button across from P) so that it looks like this "silentatmosphere.com_heartshapebox".

See how I got folders for PSDs, Brushes, Textures, Patterns and other content?

By adding the site name's I'm able to successfully credit the site's content. By keeping track and managing downloaded content your folders are not cluttered with so many files and your not left with mass confusion when looking for a certain file you got from some sit you visited yesterday. Also by writing the sites name, you make crediting easier and no accusations of not following rules are thrown at you. Crediting the content you downloaded is a huge deal, and the creators feel better to know that their users care about their content. No one likes to have their stuff stolen, so do the designers a favor and follow their rules.

I hope this small tip helped you in managing your downloaded content and crediting sites. Enjoy!
